Expert Recognition

I've said in the past that Facebook Likes or social media affirmation do not mean one has arrived. In my journey as a photographer, I have learned that the true recognition of my skill will and can only come from the experts in the field. In headshot photography, I started by having myself trained not only by the one who is good at it but by someone who is at the top of the headshot photography world, Peter Hurley. After finishing my training, I aimed to be one of his associates or people who have been certified by him as a PH2 associate photographer. This means clients who like the Peter Hurley style of headshot photography can go to his associate and can expect quality marketing images in a more cost effective way. The road to being an associate entailed eating the humble pie - lots of it. In the end, I satisfied Peter's requirements to be an associate of his and got his stamp of approval. As of this writing, I am the only PH2 associate photographer in the Australia - New Zealand region, and there are less than fifty of us around the world. Right after I passed his assessment, he tweeted my achievement. What an honour!
