As part of the improvement of my client's website, she decided to have headshots of the people who work with her. This allows her customers to see who services their needs on a regular basis. It actually puts them more at ease in terms of dealing with her.
This is an image of one of her teammates (other teammates will also have their images on her website). She was working on a garden when I took this photo. At the onset, one might think that this image was only taken with the available natural light. But I needed to make sure her face spoke louder than the greenery behind her. I then set up the lights in such a way that the focus was on her face and not her surroundings.
The background should stay where it should be, at the back, and not screaming for attention in front. My client, her teammate and I were pleased with the result. Her expression was confident, natural and approachable, very much like the nature of their business.
