Our client started working for his dad a few months ago. He came to our studio to get a headshot that is needed for his business card. This will be the business card that he will use when he travels with his dad to a conference. The said conference will be attended by highly experienced people in their industry and related ones. As such, his brief to us was simple: I don't want to look like a uni student in a suit.
With that in mind, we set out to do the shoot and finding the image that will fit his brief. After all, our goal is to cater to the audience of our client and not necessarily our client himself. The photo below shows an uncoached, undirected pose.
After going through the session, we, together with our client, deliberated on the image that best fits his brief. This is the photo that was perfect for his purpose.
Our goal is to go beyond making a client look good. Our goal is to help him or her connect and engage with his audience.
